Description

The Yankee Series is Witch Doctor’s ultimate blue water big fish rod, designed as the top-performing boat rod for vertical bait fishing. Whether you’re bottom fishing for Snapper or Grouper in the Dry Tortugas or deep dropping heavy weights in Pulley Ridge, this series is built to handle it all.

Constructed with proprietary Witch Doctor-designed Rainshadow dual-material blanks, the Yankee Series features a 30-ton graphite butt section for a lightweight, all-day fishing experience, while the glass tip section delivers maximum sensitivity to detect the lightest bites and lock in the trophies from any depth.

These rods feature an EVA and Hypalon grip combination for comfort and durability during extended battles with large fish, and ALPS Centra Lock aluminum reel seats—ideal for conventional manual reels and small electric reels up to 1200 size.

I recently purchased two of these rods. Excelllent construction and tons of backbone to pull fish off the bottom. I would buy these rods again!

I run around 250 charters a year on the East Coast of Florida and had Kyle and the WDT team build me an arsenal of these rods to outfit my boat. I’ve had them in for a little over a year now and not a single guide, eye, or tip broken (which happens a lot on charter boats). The 8’ rod gives plenty of leverage to muscle anything you hook onto. We’ve pulled up 40lb gag grouper and 55lb cobia so far as the 2 biggest on the rod with 1000’s of snapper, and other bottom fish put through em.

These rods have my utmost respect and I will never purchase anything but a WDT rod for my boats again. The strength, sensitivity, and attention to detail is beyond any name brand you could have.
